This opening is for a Director of Business Development, with a demonstrated track record of success. The ideal candidate will be located in Chicago or Atlanta. In this position you will be required to meet sales quota and contribute to company's growth by generating new revenue. CRI is seeking sales professionals who will be responsible for generating new business through cold calls, prospecting, and relationship building. Responsibilities include: · Successful track record of selling to mid and large-sized companies · The ability to effectively work with and present to C level and HR executives · Demonstrated organizational and planning skills · Ability to effectively work autonomously with minimal management direction · Ability to take initiative and manage time effectively · Ability and interest to travel and work self directed in a virtual environment · Collaborating with Operations in the preparation and execution of individual sales strategies for CRI prospects · Conducting needs analysis to fully understand the organizations staffing functions, processes, and key business drivers · Positioning CRIs value proposition as part of our overall business solution, linking these benefits back to the key business issues/drivers of the prospect or customer · Preparing responses to RFP's, RFI's, and prospect inquiries · Participating in seminars, trade shows, and other marketing activities in order to promote awareness of CRI and our solutions Qualifications · A minimum of 7 to 10 years of consultative sales experience within a Human Resource Services industry · An understanding of complex business issues facing organizations. · Solid technology skills including knowledge of internet research and contact management system Goldmine a plus. · Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills · Strong communication (verbal&written), analytical and consulting skills · Bachelors Degree CRI employees are professionals who are hired on a full time basis. That I'm blogging on American Street today. This is a funny one even if I say so myself. Who else would say it?
I tried something new with the title. A rethinking of a word. This is always interesting, because we usually don't pay attention to familiar words. But paying attention can be strangely satisfying. Like in this case: re-minder tells us what we really do when we remind someone about something; we rewind the videos in their heads, we make them mind again. This way of looking at the word doesn't make me feel so annoyed. In the real world the word "reminder" is about things like forgotten dental appointments or deworming the cats or about promises one made in the first flush of feeling beneficient and which one would now love to forget.
Another interesting word to be dissected this way is "handsome": "hand" "some", please. Get it?
