Ils quittèrent le cocktail en rasant les murs. Tout le monde était cassé.

Jérôme Moulinier pourrait l'abattre comme un chien.

Le requin à pattes hurlait derrière la cloison.

Il hurlait à la mort.

Et Moulinier reconnaissait les cris.

Les cris du téléphone.

- Tu sais, Boby, c'est moi qui est tué Novak. J'avais BESOIN d'un scoop! J'ai maquillé ça en suicide. Ca va pas les tromper longtemps, les keufs! Tu vas y passer, toi aussi, payer pour ton clébard. C'est lui qui a bouffé Cathy, hein!?

- Non, il l'a baisé...pas tué!

-Y'a qu'un sale molosse qui peut faire ça avec sa mâchoire...

-C'est moi, j'te dis, avec mes DENTS...J'ai un putain de dentiste, encore meilleur qu'celui d'Joé Starr!

Et il montra sa mâchoire.

Mâchoire de pitbull.

Boby s'avança vers Jérôme Moulinier en JAPPANT, prêt à le déchiqueter.

-Arrêtes, Snoop Dogg! hurla Jérôme.

Ils s'observaient en chien de faïence.

Boby ouvrit brusquement la porte du bureau où était enfermé le molosse.

Le chien et son maître se jetèrent sur Jérôme Moulinier.

Il fit un pas de côté, vif et rapide.

Et tira plusieurs fois avec son calibre.

Bang ! Bang ! Bang !

Ce n'était pas si désagréable de tuer.

Du sang. Du sang sur la moquette. Et puis les cris.

Les cris du pitbull.

Le molosse était blessé. Il s'approcha en geignant du cadavre de son maître. Et lui lécha le visage.

Boby ne bougeait pas. Il était mort.

Jérôme Moulinier s'avança vers le chien, en pointant fermement le canon.

Clic clic.

Il s'apprêtait à achever la bête, quand il vit les larmes. Le pitbull pleurait.

Le pitbull pleurait son maître.

Alors, Jérôme Moulinier retourna l'arme contre lui.
